I was supposed to have Mike Watt on the show this week, but had to postpone due to a scheduling conflict on my end. I had a really sore throat the day of the show and wasn’t running on all cylinders, but decided the show must go on. I threw a playlist together quickly and stuck to it for the most part, although a fair amount of the songs were picked spontaneously.
Playlist:
Gallows – Staring at the Rude Boys
Agent Orange – Bloodstains
Bad Religion – The Resist Stance
Battalion of Saints – My Mind’s Diseased
Gang Gang Dance – Glass Jar
The Gay Rights Movement
Howard Stern on gay rights and bigotry
The Virgin Suicides (trailer)
Air – High School Lover (theme song)
Electric Light Orchestra – Telephone Line
Deerhunter – Helicopter
The Doors – Yes, the River Knows
Mark Lanegan Band – The Gravedigger’s Song
Throwing Muses – A Feeling
Emma Pollock – The Optimist
Wipers – Just a Dream
Motorhead – Overkill
Fugazi – Blueprint
Sebadoh – Too Pure
